i discovered a problem not that long ago, that my CPU core voltage is way too high.

my CPU is a AMD ATHLON XP 3000+ Barton 2,16 ghz (effective speed : 3,0ghz)

Nah it's safe. CPU Temps are low, Power Supply has enough power. :] It's all good.

no that does not sound all good.

1.5 is venturing into holy fuck territory for air.

Agreed, my 1.425 is pushing it even. I wouldn't recommend anything over 1.4v for long-term.

nothing over 1.4 v huh?

EVEREST Home Edition confirms i'm in trouble

Field Value
CPU Core 1.66 V
Aux 2.24 V

what could be the cause of this? it's not overclocked

also, the temperatures are high, i know that an AMD runs a little more hot, but this.....

Field Value
CPU 66 °C (142 °F)

i know this is probably a clogged fan, but what else could it be?

You're probably in the safe zone with that CPU voltage wise, but the temperatures are kind of high. If you know it's a clogged fan, go clean it.

Slovach is right, you're still in your safe zone... However, I do recomend that you find out the cause and fix it. Because the fan is your best bet, I would probably start there, because its probably just that.

P.S.: My laptop has reached temperatures higher than that and its still perfect. However, I don't recommend it for long-term or at all form that matter...
