|
|
what am i supposed to enter for this? What decimal value? It says search for at least xx% percentage, does that mean if I want 6% I merely put in a 6 in the value field above? And thus 60% would be 60? I recall never having much luck with this function.
If true, why is it that my sequential seaches take LONG AND LONGER. Ie, I get a fix on all value sthat are unknown and get 100,000, then I increase the value 10% in game, then I search for using "increased at least XX%" 10%, then I get like 10,000 values and takes 3 minutes search time, then I decrease the value by 20% and I search that the same as above. Now why is it that this last memory search takes an upwards of 20 times LONGER to report the results? It's supposed to be checking FEWER values?? Something is wrong.

at least xx% is not a very usefull function.
if you scan for 10% increase it picks the previous scan value add 10% to it and scans for values bigger than that value
so if the value was 10 and scanning for at least 60% it will find 16 and higher
Also, in 5.4 the same as first scan is a lot faster (downside in 5.4 is that at least xx% isn't implemented in the new scan engine, only when using hyperscan, which would be slower again. But then again, at least xx% can be remade using a custom scan script)

What do you mean "not useful"? It would be incredibly useful.... if it worked right on the second scan. It doesn't though. For some reason the second xx% scan is always fucked up and takes a half an hour to work. It makes no sense that the second scan takes so much longer. 2 minutes versus 30 minutes?
How would you ever find a value in conmplicated games without the %? that's my problem now. Way too many addresses for the "changed value" "unchanged value" repeat for a week merry-go-round.

| Maybe you need a faster computer to run this.

Maybe you need to actually read the thread. It has absolutely nothing to do with my computer speed. The second search should be SHORTER, not longer. It's working with a smaller amount of values(supposedly) and performing the exact same mathematical operation.
