Do i need to update my Bios every so often? Also what one should i use for my computer?

I want to see if an update for my stock graphics driver is avalibale but im not sure what one to use. I need to know how to figure out what my drivers and other componets are.

The site i like to use for downloads is techspot.com/downloads.html thats were i want to get the updates so cna anyone help?

Im useing windows xp with a intel procseser.
