hey, i got an error this mornin on my pc and i dunno wot to do.
this is the error:
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:Windows root>\system32\hal.dll.
anyone help me plz ?o.o

No! Did you delete hal.dll?! SIRIOUS?!
darn.. i think you have to reinstall windows if possible..

Haha, I have that error on my laptop. Too bad it isn't as easy to fix as yours.

Pop your XP CD into the tray, and once it loads press R to enter the recovery.

Now select the Windows partition, log in with the admin account

Type this in:

expand cdrom:\i386\hal.dl_ hdd:\windows\system32

if it asks to overwrite, select 'yes'
