I know for a lot of people, probably myself include, ask a lot of questions that should be unnecessary to ask. Either they have been explained in the tutorial that came with the program, or talked about piece by piece on the forum.
Could it be an idea to take a game, and make a step-by-step tutorial example that would shoe how to cheat?
Take one problem. - A game with ammo, for instance, where the address change everytime you restart. - Step-by-step through finding the pointer, making the ammo (for instance) unlimited, and saving the table.
Maybe even through making a stand-alone trainer
I dont know, but I think that would help a great deal in understanding the process. Especially if you are not familiar with assembler, or other similar types of experience.
Of course .. someone would have to actually Want to do it, since its a job initself.
Anyway - just an idea.

If you think it's a great idea why don't you just write that tutorial?
That is if you find a proper game...two problems in game choise you did not mention: it has to be free, it has to be small, find something like that and it's all fine.
To my mind the tutorial that explains things with ammo and health is good enough for it. I think the people who do not understand how CE works are just too lazy for doing the tutorial...
edit: well maybe they dont know of its exsistenz. Maybe something like
"This is the first time you started CE. Would you like to start the tutorial? You might not have to finish the complete tutorial in order to cheat your game, however as more possiblities are explained the chances of your success will be higher if you complete it. There might be games can not be cheated in any way described in the tutorial (for example some online games)."
when starting CE for the first time would make them realize it exists...

My intentions were never to step on any toes, suggesting this. And the reason I brought it up is that I did think of doing it myself - but my experience with the program is very limited, and I know that I am not ready to do one properly. At least not yet.
My other reason, was that I see you guys answer again and again the same questions (only different wordings) on this forum, which could easily (in my opinion) be avoided with such a tutorial as mentioned.
If the idea seemed bothersome, or irritating in any way, then I apologize because then I failed with my intentions.

I think your idea is good...but hard to realize. Therefore i suggested other ways towards the same goal (avoing unnecessary questions).
It's about doing things theoretical and practical...doing it practical requires effort... To my mind theoretical must be enough as we can hardly prepare any pratical way to teach them how to use it.
Maybe if the game is too much to dl people won't download it, if it sucks people may wonder: Why can't i start out on my game? Too lazy for this example crap. It's about that stuff that i am worried about. Surely you could find a crappy small game with some values...Maybe i am just being pessimistic that people are that lazy but seeing how many people posted
OMGMGMMGMGMGMGMGMA IN NNEEEDEedEEEEEED NIITTTETETOOOOOOOO CHEAAZTTZTZ!!!0MGGGGGGG.
It makes me think people are even to lazy to read,if they did they'd notice it was asked for already multiple times...it makes me think it's the lazy people's fault that they don't get it, not the lack of an example tut, because the theoretical tut is good enough.
