I got a HP Compaq Presario V3000. But i own alot of viruses and rubbish inside, so i want to reformat the lantop and i have a Window(R) XP Professional CD. I did boot the CD and ready for install but end up the install is failed coz i show u the message:

Setup did not find any hard disk drivers installed in your computer.

Make sure any hard disk divers are powered on and properly connected to your computer, and that any disk-related hardware configureation is correct. This may involve running a manufacturer-supplied diagnostic or setup program.

Setup cannot continue.To quit Setup, Press F3.



Can anyone give me some sugestion please?

How is this related to programming?

Offtopic: your WXP CD is probably SP0 -> It can't find sata HDDs -> Get your sata drivers and press F6 on the install thingy. Or just slipstream SP2 to your WXP CD

I had the same problem. The solution is buy a new hard drive.. Your old one Probably got toast like mine did.

I found out the problem.. Very Happy
Just disable yr sata HDD support and enjoy yr installation.

@jani:
yr wrong, my WXP CD is inclue SP2.
