Cheat Engine

Not to sound stupid but is it possible to freeze values on visual basic 6 using addresses found on cheat engine, if so how please.

The reason for asking is that i would like to make a trainer outside of ce
so far all i can find are tut's on flash games but i mean proper games like
oblivion,black and white 2 and halo

any help would be great and anyone that helps will get my rep or whatever it is that you reward people with.
