is there any way to get around this? sorry if this has been asked before, i checked all the stickies and did a search and came up with nothing.

Go to RegEdit, then go to Find... Type in Cheat Engine..

You should see four Cheat Engine regkeys.. Delete a few of them. If you have installed more than one version of CE, I think it adds a registry for each one.

ROFL, no one ever seems to get help so I guess I will try.

anyhow, to answer the question:
You can't do more than 4

you see, these debugregisters exist:
dr0 : contains a address to break on
dr1 : contains a address to break on
dr2 : contains a address to break on
dr3 : contains a address to break on
dr4 : does not exist
dr5 : does not exist
dr6 : when a break occurs this will hold which debug reg caused it, and what kind of access it was
dr7 : This sets which registers (dr0 to dr3) are used and how they are used (e.g break on read, break on read+write ,break on execute, or break on io)

as you see, to have more than 4, dr4 and dr5 have to exist (and then it's still only max 6)
