Cheat Engine

hello,
i need some help with this first person shooter game called day of defeat. its a steam half life engine game. im jus startin out i did the tutorial, via the tutorial forum help, and i understand how the speedhack works that part is pretty easy. it is rather hard to use it though because its always glitching/lagging out.

my first question is, anyone have recommendations on what to set the speedhack to, like what number? also, what should i set the sleeptime to, the number right next to the speedhack...

also, ive been trying to work on a health hack, and it doesn't seem to be working. i start out with 100 health, and im searching that in the float, and coming out with A LOT of addresses with values at 100. then ill lose some health, i.e. losing like 5 health, and i search for 95 in the values and it still comes out with a ton of addresses. ive gone through these addresses and changed values to like 5000 so i have 5000 health, but that doesn't seem to be working. any thoughts on this?
