Could any experienced programmers guide me along? I've just started learning c++, maybe u can be my 'teacher' and guide me along on where should i start or how. Would really appreciate it.

I know, thats the website i refer to, but i need someone like for example if im stuck at something, maybe that person could help explain it on the spot.
And eg, what compilers to start of with.
btw now im using microsoft visual c++ and delphi 7.

Just post your questions here Thats what this section of the forums is for.
As for a compiler, I suggest using Visual Studio 2005. I use it as my compiler and IDE as I don't need anything else personally. But others on these forums seem to like CodeBlocks for their IDE and use VS2005's compiler.

Visual Studio 2005 is better than most people think. I really recommend you starting off with it, and as I did, keep on reading on that website.

Perhaps that can be of help aswell?
Also, has anyone tried the Visual Studio 2007 beta yet? I heard it's pretty damn good.

Like I said, just post any problems here and I'm sure someone will help out. Don't worry about the spammers and shit though. Don't let them discourage you They are either spamming cause they don't know how to do it either, or they just have nothing better to do.

the 2008 beta is what is out, and yes it's decent.
