Whenever I try to attach the debugger to a game I get Error=5 "The thread that was supposed to attach the debugger to the process failed." Does anyone know why and how I can fix this? Thanks.

error 5 means access denied
Cheat engine has no right to attach to that process.
Make sure you're running as administrator, and if you know how, make sure that the administrator has process debugging rights

Would this include going to Local Security Settings and changing the Debug Programs Policy so that it applies to Administrators? If so, it was already set to administrators.
