I am stuck on finding the first pointer in a game:
I have scanned and found the correct address affecting the value i wish to modify.
I then used CE to find out what writes to that address.
After that i change the value (in game) and bring up the debugger, i click on more information to find the value of the pointer.
Here is where i get stuck, i punch in the value of the pointer in hex mode and the search gives me 0 results. So i cannot in turn find the address of the pointer.
I have messed around with the settings back and forth to no avail, i actually did get 1 result when i tried this a few days ago, but even then i couldnt get it to happen again.
Any sugesstions would be great.

Try just right clicking the address you found first, and selecting
"pointer scan for this address"

| i tried the scanner and get 0 results scanning at 1 level, i get 8 reults with 2 levels, i added all 8 results to the address list, and when i try use any of these 8 pointers, they all cannot remember the value when i reset the value in game, so im assuming either of those pointers do not hold the static address i am looking for.
