How would you normally go around figuring out what kind of data will be stored in what kind of value type?

By looking at the bytes of it in memory.
Hexadecimal to Decimal

Im not sure how to figure it out but.
Flash 7: stored as double.
Flash 8&9: Scan it as 4 bytes but multiply by 8? For some games anyway.

I think thats right. Im kinda new to this but i've picked it up fairly quickly.
