Start with the simplest of game hacking.. the memory editor,also start with the easiest memory editor cheat o matic then when you understand how to do it use cheat engine..

First you start off by selecting a process... after you have selected your game you can search for an ingame value.. say you have 100 HP.. search for 100.. then get hit by something then change the value in cheat o matic to your current hp after taking damage, then hit search again.. and repeat this process till you get 1 value then edit it to your whim.. even freeze it for god mode, memory editing is as simple as that when you get more advanced you will get into debugging and hex editing.

Ok, so listen carefully guys, this tutorial is for you people who don't know a thing about game hacking and would want to get a taste out of it all. So follow carefully the information given here and you shall be game hacking in no time. I will use Cheat'O Matic here with the Windows MineSweeper Game. This is just an example, you can later adapt it to any game you want.


Step 1 :
Okay, so first, you will need to know a little bit about the game hacking terms. So read the first guide on the help page and then come back here. You don't need to memmorize it. You just need to get an overview of it. Go there now and read.

Step 2 :
Ok, now that you know a bit more about the hacking terms, we are going to get the tool we need. go to the tools section and go to Cheat'O Matic, look at the info, see the review and then Download it.

Step 3 :
Once you have the program on your hard disk, unzip it into a directory of your choice, and then we must be able to know the tools a bit, so go and read the help file included in it. Do not concetrate on understanding everthing, it is not possible at this stage. Just get it in your head somewhere.

Step 4 :
Ok, now we have everything, we are going to choose the game we want to hack (Windows Minesweeper here), and get it in our head. Concentrate on hacking it. And isolate ourselves to suceed.

Step 5 :
We have our game, our tool, and we know a bit about both of them. Good we are ready to hack the game now. First load cheat'o matic. Minimize it, or put it asside, and load minesweeper.

Step 6 :
We are going to hack the Time here, because the time is what influences your score. That way, we will still have the fun to play, but we will get high scores at the end. Note here how our way of game hacking conserves the game's playing fun and yet enable you to acheive high scores. you will still die of mines, but incase you suceed, then you have a wonderfull score.
Start playing with the game and note that the time is increasing little by little. Some games have the option to pause the game, the minesweeper game doesn't have this option. But note that Minimizing it will halt the game progress.

Step 7 :
So, you are playing, and your timing is high. Now you should minimize the minesweeper game window but be sure to note the time before you minimize. Let's say you minimize and the clock says 5. then 5 is your number. (note that this special method is only for games who do not have pause option). Go to your Cheat'O matic game hacking tool. Click on "New Search" And then click on the arrow on the wide rectangle and choose MineSweeper from it. Then, input your digital number, in this case it's 5 (the number on the clock before you minimized), then click on "Search". The program will search the hole memmory of the game for addresses matching the digit number you typed. There are thousands that match it. Which one is the right one ?

Step 8 :
The only way to know it is by trial and error. So the program finishes searching and awaits you to input the next digital number. Go back to your game window (maximize it). Start playing again, and minimize it after let's say 10 seconds, and note the number on the clock. So maximize, wait a little, play a little, then minimize back and note the number on clock (let's say it's 15 here).

Step 9 :
Go back again to your cheat'o matic. Input the new number (15 here), and then click on "Search Again", the program will go looking in the memmories that matched the previous search and will memmorize them. Your program should be able to find the memmory address by now, if not repeat Step 7 trought 9 till the program displays "Cha-Chiiing". That means he found the memmory that corresponds to the number you are looking for.

Step 10 :
The program basically repeats a certain scheme of procedures that evolve with your seach, meaning when you look for a number, the program tells the computer, i want memmory addresses that had 3, 4, 18, 12 numbers and now 34. So the computer gives cheat'o matic a certain number of memmory addresses. When cheat'o matic receives only one, he tells you he found what you are looking for. (note that the number mean here timing clock. They could mean anything.)
So we found the memmory address, we now need to change the memmory value. Go the the rectangle below and input a low number that wil give you a high score. Let's say we put in 5 seconds. (meaning when you finish the game, the program will think that you finished it with 5 seconds). Input 5 and then click on the square next to Lock. That will instruct cheat'o matic to write it multiple times per second to the memmory, so that you always have 5 seconds on. If you don't click on this square the program will tell the game to display 5 seconds, but afterwords, the clock will still continu to grow starting from 5. So there is no use of it in this case.

Step 11 :
Go back to the game after inputting your new number, and clicking on the square next to lock, and there you go. Your clock is holding at 5 seconds, it doesn't increase!!! You made it. you hacked the Windows Minesweeper game. Now finish up your game, and when the program asks you for your name in the high score, be sure to put it right.

Step 12 :
You can go sleep now, and rest assured that you completed your first tutorial for game hacking. This is of course a basic procedure that do not work with the complicated games out there. But you can try. Cheat'O Matic was found even to work with certain numbers in Quake. So it is good. Try switching MineSweeper with something else. and you will see the wide number of possibilities available. Enjoy..

you really should start with cheat engine, it comes with a tutorial... you should be able to follow the basic bits, it does get hard though.

Sorry mate, in my opinion that application needs more work. Last i looked at it, was kinda bland and buggy.

There are better ones to use.
