I just want to know if polymorphism is something I should learn, or if it really doesn't matter, or just no.

A poll for the question of you should learn something? o.o


Most people can't answer this for you, it depends on what you program in application. Polymorphism is a powerful programming concept in object oriented programming. In C++ for example, simple operator overloading is polymorphism. You can also have class methods that execute dynamically and completely alternatively based on context.
