How do I cheat?

ok well i can usually do this hack depending on the game i play, but somehow i cant do it for the tutorial lol, i open the computer flashy thingy and click on the cheat engine link, then i enter the value of the health, as a 4 byte exact value, first scan it, then hit the hit me button to get my health down, scan the new value and nothing shows up. can anyone tell me wat im doing wrong?
