For a couple of FPS I occasionaly play.

Editing HP, ammo etc = easy but trying to find reload rate (Machine gun sniper Cool ) I got stuck. First I though Unknown value, change weapon, change value etc. but i get stuck with 1000+ after 50 odd scans. Then I though It being the bigger it is the longer it takes so, value increased/decreased etc got 500+ results but still no definate. Any help would be appreciated =)

You're on the right path, but you need to find something that is unique to reloading.

Scanning for increased/decreased or changed values while switching weapons will bring up any other addresses that will be changing along with the reload rate (gun model, firing rate, etc).

Reload rates and firing rates are extremely difficult if the number isn't visible...

If you're familiar with assembly, you could find, say, ammo count, find what writes to it, then check out that memory region to see anything that might look like a firing rate around it... but you have to know what's going on in the code, and that takes a lot of knowledge... that I don't have. D:

Tried Looking on the assembler but im not so good at spotting those sort of things.

BTW: I know it is possible because on another VERY similar game, I saved the addresses for Ammo, health etc forgetting to convert them into pointers. Then booted up next day loaded up addresses realised my mistake but frozen one which looked interesting and it turn out to be reload rate but I had to be carefull about it because turning it to 0 causes crashes and bugs.

also, the game may store the time of the last shot and checks if the difference between the current time and the last shot time is big enough for you to shoot again. (e.g jfk reloaded)

try scanning for a value that increases each time you shoot (and doesn't when you don't shoot obviously) and then freeze it

Or it may be something (kind of similar to "breathing" in MapleStory) that:
-After you shoot the value goes to some number depending on the gun.
-The number is like a timer that takes some time to decrement to 0.
-Until it gets to 0, you cannot shoot.

Or it may start at 0 and go up to a specified number depending on the gun.

Wait, are you talking about for reloading or fire rate?

If it were firing rate, the timer would increase from your last shot until you shot again, so.. if you scanned for unknown, sat a bit and let the timer increase in time from your last shot, scanned for an increase, then actually shot, wouldn't the timer go back down to 0, then continue to increase?
So you would have to scan for a decreased value after shooting, if you waited a decent amount of time before shooting last time. Then scan for more increased values until you shot again, then scan for a decrease again.

See what I'm saying?

Then you could freeze the timer at a larger number so it thought you waited, say, 5 seconds before your next shot, when you're actually just clicking away. Rapid Fire!

Wow That makes more sense since the first two were way hard to do,(My alt tabing isnt fast enough). But when i accidently had it I just freezed it at 10 and refire rate = awsome.(Even faster than machine gun xD) But the way ur saying it, freeze it at something like 5k.... Hm... Must Explore.

Ok, Tried Everyones Suggestions but still no real result, found a weird glitch tho that unlocks the 5th wepon (there only supposed to be four) but when used in multiplayer crashes the server (Has some benifits I suppose xD) When back to the old game (The new games Engine is based on the old one) and I found that by freezing the Fire rate at 0 it enables rapid shooting. But there is something else I though of.

When weilding a machine gun holding the left mouse down makes you shoot untill you let go, but with the sniper or grenade, you have to seperate the clicks. So maybe searching for 1 (Hold click enabled) changing and searching for 0 (Hold click disenabled).

Hmmm.... thoughts?




The games im talking about is Cube (the older version) and assualt cube (the newer) Try Googleing cause i forgot the site. Rolling Eyes

Yea its a handy thing to crash another server, but id rather have rapid fire on sniper, cause no1 would see it coming... =)

Btw: Just to clarify the cheat/hack w\e, im looking for is to freeze the time inbetween on shot and the next because there no point in editing the reload (Changing Magazines) because you can easily freeze the ammo left in the clip to 999999..... etc.

After 4 weeks of trying to find it my results are as follows:
1 Server Crash Glitch (Now Pointered)
Able to change to weapons (Hotkeyed) that u have to change when you die (i.e. No sniper when you have machine gun)
Able to make no flags spawn (and make me the only one with a flag, Even when I spawn)
Able to disable collisions

But after all of that STILL NO RAPID FIRE!!!! Evil or Very Mad
Oh well, any other games for me to practise on?
