I saw this on another forum

"ok this is a long expansive hack but this will get u millions of anything u want remember watevr u want go's into packets and goes into the server so watevr u intercept u can change then let it go but here is the problem u have to get something and in that split almost second u have to catch that packet just as it goes in so that way u can change it now ther is a way to counter this...freeze ur game yes thats right and if it works the packet will stop in the middle of transfer change it then try to unfreeze ur computer i kno this might seem a little hard and frustsrtrating but its the only other way.

Ex. i wanna get a million creds in a sec go do a mission and once it says ur money has been put in the bank get the packet thats flieing out then change the value and ta da now im going to see if this will work once i get the program"

I tryed to translate...
anyway is this plausible?

Well basicly that guy doesn't know what he's talking about, he's never done it before.
Else he would know that WPE sniffs ALL packets that come in/go out, nomatter how fast they go.
All you have to do is find the right packet, which is most of the time easely found.
Another thing: this is possible is SOME games, but most of the time it won't work. Because if you add about 1k gold into your bank, that 1k disapears from your inventory, and if you change that 1k into for example 1mil, your client will want to remove 1mil from your inventory.
Result: crashing your client or giving an error message that you can't store that much.

Would completely ruin the economy if this worked, in a way I'm glad it doesn't, seems to be something they would pay extra attention to make sure wouldn't happen.

Monkeys i think he meant pause the process before the packet is sent like say you got 10 gold. Pause the process and send a packet that you got 50 gold and then unfreeze and let it go.

Of course you would have to know what packet it was and have a filter ready, and another problem on this is if the socket ID changes quickly you would have to be pretty fast to edit it.

But also it doesnt seem like it would matter if you paused or not because just sending the packet at the right time should work also if packeting effects the Gold or what ever.
