Who said all life has to be based on water? Life as WE know it is based on water, but don't let that concept constrict your mind.

Oh and the chances of there being Life Out of Earth are pretty damn high, considering the clues they found on Europa, which indicated lifeforms under the ice within Europa's sea. (I think it's one of Saturn's moon s? Forgot.) I think if we moved Europa around the same place Earth is, we would be able to live on it. O_o
I don't think anyone took into consideration the Hundreds of thousands of Galaxies throughout the universe. For every star you see in the sky, there are possibly around 10 or more/less planets orbiting them.
The possibility of there being lifeforms out there is actually pretty reliable. |

| water brings life... that should explain everything if life exist in other planets. from there small cells/bacteria can produce/evolve... but that will take billion of years.

I believe the only planet with large amounts of water other than Earth would be Europa, but the only problem is that because it is so far away from the Earth, a huge shell of ice has covered all of it.
They are sending some droid-like-thing to it that will drill through the ice and discover if there is any living life form.
I learned that in 8th grade.

We may need water to live, but this does not mean life that's out there will also need water. Who knows they're probably living by breathing toxic gases that would have killed us instantly.
The problem with us humans is we become selfish and think how we live is applied to everything.

No their are small amounts of oxygen found in Mar's atomsphere but like .03%

have u heasrd of that elevator their building starting 2010. google it. its gonna be like a 10 year project where they build a elevator to space. it will takes 5 days to actually reach space once ur in the elevator.
theyre making it out of nano technolgy meaning it can repair it self once hit by a merteor or what not
