I've had cats and dogs.
Dogs are more social, they do more things, and they certainly arnt stupid.
They want to "play" with you. They love to be near people.
Anyone with both can tell you the same thing.
Actually, any person who knows anything about animals can tell you that a dog is more sociable.
as for cats.

Please tell me how a cat is smarter than a dog.

Becuase
1.My Grandma has Cats At my Home Contry,She has 9 Cats! When I was little when they were sleeping together i tryed to snuggle in with them 
2.My Neighbor (My favorite and the nicest) has 2 Dogs,Named Skippie and Yeggie
I used to play with them all day! Until he moved T.T
