Oh, I'm well aware of immunosuppressive drugs, but they are not without side effects.

Interactions with other drugs, etc. Maybe you're alive out of surgery, but you can still easily get your ass handed to you from other things. Especially with how much shit you get put on coming out of a procedure like that.

As for powering that thing I doubt they'll use atomic power type batteries like Nickel-63 where its "half-life" is over 100 years.
