If you have an Oscar, be warned. They will devour all life within your fish tank. They also live extremely long and they grow as large as the tank you place them in. One more thing, Oscars bite. Hard.

If you get a pirana and stick your hand in it, then you'll come out with no hand....just thought you would know.
As for picking fishes...how about a electric eel?

make shure none of your fish has a disease, i they do, remove it from the fish tank and clean the tank thuroly, beecause even if the diseased fish is out, the 'stuff' it left behind can make other fishes ill and start a chain reaction among all fish in that tank.
I learned this the hard way...
rest in peace Mr. flappy-fins
rest in peace...

What you do is, You keep the fish in the tank, Get one of those tubes with the sucker on them and suck it till the water gets flowing, Keep the big end near the bottom of the tank because that is where its most dirty. Only remove 1/3 of the water because if you replace it all a temperature change can hurt them. Also, Before you replace the 1/3 of the water scrub the sides. Dont use soap...

keep your Tank clean or fish will get a disease.
NEVER EVER PUT VERY LARGE FISH KNOWN TO EAT OTHER LITTLE FISH WITH LITTLE FISH
Try for a good filter.
DONT OVER FEED :O EVER!
Put lots of decore to-where your fish can hide in.
LAstly never forget 2 feed them.

if you want to start out as a begginer do: White Cloud Mountain Minnows
Rainbowfish
Corydoras Catfish
Loaches
Pleco
Tetras
Cichlids (this fish gets very smart)
Anabantids
These fish are bad for begginers
Goldfish
Piranhas
Knife Fishes
Hatchet and Pencil Fishes
Elephant Nose and Baby Whale
Chinese Algae Eater
Bala Shark
Iridescent Shark
Glass Catfish
Spiny Eels
Dyed Fish
Salt Water Fish
But if you can handle those chalenges then go for it! (not the algae eater cuz it causes infections 2 other fish and dyde fish because dye is Poisin to them)

| I forgot the exact method of doing this best, but when you get them from the store always slowly transition them to the temperature of the tank. If you simply just drop them in, the shock will fuck up their body and kill them within a few days. My sister made this mistake countless times.
