I don't see technological advancements like that coming for 200+ years, unless an alternate power source which is reliable and abundant pops up within the next 50 years.
All of those people who commented believing only a century...? No. Our scientists couldn't plan this that quickly.
It wouldn't matter anyway. Chances are that the Human race will die out on Earth, and maybe Evolution will continue.
Oh and the chances of there being Life Out of Earth are pretty damn high, considering the clues they found on Europa, which indicated lifeforms under the ice within Europa's sea. (I think it's one of Saturn's moon s? Forgot.) I think if we moved Europa around the same place Earth is, we would be able to live on it. O_o
I don't think anyone took into consideration the Hundreds of thousands of Galaxies throughout the universe. For every star you see in the sky, there are possibly around 10 or more/less planets orbiting them.
The possibility of there being lifeforms out there is actually pretty reliable. |
| I have to agree. However, an energy source like that will probably never appear, and us humans will be doomed. Flightless on our little rock. Evolution is still going on today. Human jaws are getting smaller, thats why our wisdom teeth no longer fit. We will still be classified as humans, but we have evolved with time. | I blame continent drift

tonsils and spleens are not coming up as much in humans nowadays
I think Neptune is in the process of making lifeforms, as what it is going through now is what Earth has gone through to create life(bacteria). Mars has probably already had life inhabit it, until its resources were used up and its orbit shifted closer to the Sun.

doubt it? wtf man do you know how many possible planets life could exsist on?
think about our solar system, 1 in a uncountable amount, earth may be the only planet with life in our solar system, but think about the other solar systems, the ones we know but have never been to, and the uncountable number of ones we dont, now, tell me you doubt it.

it is a nice idea...
but if it does happen, it will be at the end of the century assuming the humans havent died yet.
also, we dont have the resources to support our selves on earth, so how can we build a man-made planet? and where?

Wait, wut?
Isn't a century 100 years and a decade 10 years? | yes...
but NASA is planning to send astronauts to the moon in 2020 I think for 6 months to a year to live and see the effects of being the only ones on it
they will be on the dark side of the moon if they dont go insane they will send astronauts to mars for a year or so( you can only get there every 6 months or a year i think because other wise its WAY to far away) they would leave all there equipment there more would come leave it till we could start terraforming which is pumping green house gases into the air here on earth its bad but on mars its helpful
b
so yes i do think with in a century we will be at least starting to leave on other planets
and I think there are aliens they universe is MASSIVE and we arnt even sure if are universe is the only one theres millions of planets one of them must have life besides earth

| well I belive that would be the point of going to other planets? you know they have resources? mars has stuff under the surface I think

Our entire solar system including our sun is just a tiny spec located in one of the arms on the Spiral Galaxy. Think about how how many planets out there that may have life in it. Who knows, maybe the next one is next door to us located in one of Sprial's other arms.
And by the time you plan to kill all humans we'll be long extinct because of greed.
Mother Nature did not extinguish human existence, it's the humans who did it to themselves.

| Bruce Lee wrote: | I have believed for a long while, that as humans, we are NOTHING but evil leeches.
I believe we are going to eventually suck the life out of earth, and when that happens, we will have enough technology to move to another planet, or two, or more.
Then, we will either get over populated on those planets, or kill those as well.
So, I believe that we are a plague and are slowly working to kill all planets.
That's why, if I had the choice, I would kill every single human.
Why?
Let's put it into scenario:
A butterfly flies into a spider's web.
Do you save the butterfly? How about we kill the butterfly but save the butterflies' children so their will be more butterflies later?
If you keep saving butterflies, spiders will starve to death!
But...wanting to save both is a contradiction. What would you rather do? Keep deliberating? The butterfly will be eaten in the meantime.
So, I'd kill the spiders to save to butterflies, see what I mean?

The problem is we haven't found
A) Life
B) Any way life can live
and C) Water
.... Yes I know we found ice and ice is water but think. That WONT unfreeze. We would need to find water UNDER that ice. They're doing that on mars.
