just having one problem with 4.4,,
the auto assemble gives me an error of
"error in line 4:access violation at address 004d3fc9 in module cheat engine.exe read of address 00000000"
I can assemble the same code manually,,
the code cave and allocate memory works great,,
just wondered if I got the syntax wrong,,
and if the wrong syntax would give that error code,,
could you tell me what that error code means so that I can work it out,,
btw just using the /hide ce/ prevent changes to ce/options/ pretty much the default setup,,
was careful how the code was typed in,
thats a powerful option if i can get auto assemble to work,,
apart from that I'm having a great time using this version,,

Ah thanks I didn't see that one.
You probably had a blank line in the code. (was a parser problem)
But I've uploaded a new build of 4.4 to the site that should fix it. (you have arround a week to tell me a bug I find annoying and I'll be able to add it to the current version, after that you'll have to wait for a next version because then I'll have locked the 4.4 version)

Well if you are going to lock the version, I'd like to make a suggestion about CE.
Can you add a recorder?
You would be able to record what value an address has for an amount of time, then be able to cut out a portion of time that you want to loop.
Sort of like Sound Recorder on Windows.
If its not too much trouble.

mabe you mean like a graph,,
that would be a visual representation,,
with plus and minus values,,
can't think what you would use it for though,
might hog memory after a while as well,,
I'm interested in what you might use it for though,,
mind you sounds difficult to implement with bcd, floating point, double floats,, binary ,,,,aaaaaggghhhhhhh

No, it would be more like a word document.
I would use this for values that are constantly checked, and must change every 5 seconds or so.
Good way to fool debuggers without messing with kernel.

hot keys seem to work sporadically
the keys assignments are only saved for a short period, then they disappear
after saving the h/k and closing the window and reopening they disappear
sometime i can use them on a game for a few tries, then they quit
they write to the ntuser.dat.LOG secuefully succefully
where are they stored? I couldn't find them in the registry
seems that you can only configure 2 hotkeys
after trying to set any more then 2 it erases the other settings

the hotkeys are stored in the registry in current user\software\cheat engine\ (10 byte long entries)
the hotkeys disapear because of a bug where it thinks you modified the hotkeys because it forgets to disables the modifed hotkeys flag. To bypass this problem, set all your hotkeys, click ok to get back to settings, click ok again to go to ce and close CE.
then restart CE and the hotkeys should still be there. (if you want to edit the hotkey do the same, edit , close ce, and reopen)
About them stopping after a while in a game, I don't know. I'll have to look into that.
