| why is it okay to have a time killer. seems like a first world problem, needing to invest and dedicate time into something because you either have nothing to do or want to avoid doing something. its not even relatively looked down upon, everyone has something they do to kill time. I feel its a waste of energy. I take everything I do seriously enough to the point where most people would believe I'm not enjoying myself, but that just means that for whatever reason is that they themselves don't enjoy doing things in a serious manner

Are you not killing time when you do whatever you're doing to enjoy yourself? I don't understand what point you're making. That everyone should be working on a craft or skill, maybe? Or that everyone should take things seriously?
Myself, I think everything is pointless, and when I'm trying to decide what to do with my meaningless life and existence, sometimes I think to immerse myself in video games, because they are bright and loud and exciting.

This is a circular discussion, and it's not gonna go anywhere. It's like the deterministic vs. freewill argument.
If you got it(self supplying, constructive, positive actions and behaviors) you got it, if you don't then you don't.

Myself, I think everything is pointless, and when I'm trying to decide what to do with my meaningless life and existence, sometimes I think to immerse myself in video games, because they are bright and loud and exciting. | if you're doing it to enjoy yourself then you're not really killing time are you? usually people say they use something to kill time when they aren't really enjoying themselves, like I said because they have nothing better to do or something they are avoiding doing. you cant think life is pointless if what you enjoy and your purpose is to be entertained by loud and exciting things. if your intention is to go into the game to be entertained then its not being used as a time killer, because you are intentionally going out of your way to do that thing.
the point im making is that if you are only doing something to waste time until your existence is over and aren't actually enjoying it or getting fulfilled by it (entertainment is fulfilling in its own way) then that shouldn't be acceptable or im at least questioning why in society it is acceptable to do things for no purpose

Ahh, then you misunderstood what I meant by killing time, I think that people are killing time when they are entertaining themselves and I suppose using time when they are being productive and bettering themselves.
One thing I would like to say:
| Quote: | | you cant think life is pointless if what you enjoy and your purpose is to be entertained by loud and exciting things. i |
I think these are mutually exclusive concepts. My "purpose" in life is not to be entertained, it's just what I do sometimes. Sometimes I read or learn or work or entertain myself, but I still acknowledge the absurdity of life in general.
As far as the other method of killing time, I don't know that anyone would do something that they don't enjoy on some base level to "kill time".

entertaining yourself and being productive don't have to be two separate things. what I meant when I said I take things seriously is that I don't let my entertainment be unproductive or purposeless, a try to take something out of everything you do type of thing
what you do in life is your life. your existence is your actions and your thoughts, you don't exist outside of what you do, its that collection of things that makes up your identity.

I played it last year, it was the biggest disappointment of my life. I have been waiting for this game since 2004 when it was announced.
Played the alfa korean version in 2010~
but last year I played the full released korean version with a language patch.
Tera is a better MMORPG.
There is just nothing really original anymore with BnS

I stopped playing tera when it stopped fucking working on my PC. Re-installs, troubleshooting, forums, nope, nope, nope, tera suddenly decides to not work anymore. So fuck that game.

I stopped playing it because I really don't have the time anymore to commit to an MMORPG.
Lately I only Play CS:GO (one or two matches a day) and table top simulator.
I am waiting for black desert tho, it looks really good.

the stunlock meta in hots drives me insane.
oh you got stunned? let's chain 3 more enemy stuns together to delete you, leaving you with no counter play

This is somewhat present in 1v1 arenas in BnS, but I'm not very experienced yet. Still, Blade Dancers and Force Masters seem to have me in constant stuns, and by the time they run out I'm at 20% HP with no chance
