Whatever, I decided on Fedora yesterday because my grandfather happened to have an entire book on Fedora. I've already done several hours of reading on the internet and in the said book.

If "Gentoo" is even harder to use, then maybe I will try that out when I'm feeling "hardcore".


You might notice I used the present continous of compile, compiling. Gentoos gone soft and provides prebuilt isos. Real men (aka not me) build from source and optimize using flags.

Well, you might have to help me with that, because frankly I do not know any experts in compiling gentoo. I don't know, I will look it up. Sounds hard.

Well, you might have to help me with that, because frankly I do not know any experts in compiling gentoo. I don't know, I will look it up. Sounds hard.


Ask slugsnack or F3ar, they are just crazy enough to have tried. Can probably get decent results with ArchLinux without having to compile.

Ubuntu is like PHP, gentoo is more a fork of AJAX

i use fedora/debian only, and this is wrong

its really fucking rare for someone to install instead of debian fedora on a web server(this argument doesnt apply to anything out side web servers)
I use fedora on my desk/lap only, and while it's my favorite distro, it has some serious issues that can easily make it worse to anyone who doesn't have enough knowledge on linux

i wear fedoras during my high school ap computer science class. i am thr most popular kod in class due to my knowledge of fedora.
