Man I don't want to sound like I'm flaming you but you have no clue what you're talking about. The federal loan to the automotive industries wasn't part of Obama's Stimulus package. But it was still fucking retarded, GM is only going to use that money to consolidate its assets and file bankruptsy, if they used it to employ lower-middle class citizens it would have been far more constructive, you can thank congressional legislative abilities for that oversight.

His package is actually a three point plan:

1. Middle class tax cuts
2. Using tax money to hire people to repair Infrastructure (If you don't know what that means, its essentially repairing buildings and shit)
3. Providing aid to local governments, cities and townships.

Its basically, "Trickle Up Economics" at its very core unfortunately it follows the same ape-like methodology of "Throw money at it and pray it works" but that's capitalism itself I suppose.

Woah, for starters you need to understand that this thread is related to economical hardships currently faced by the US CITIZENS and wars have a notorious history for stimulating economies.
My sentiments exactly. I hate people who come into conversations without understanding how complex the situation is. U.S. debt increased more during post-bellum World War II. Heck, World War II brought us out of the great depression.

I wouldnt agree with that fully. Where did all our Social Security Funds go, then?
Also, You'd think that by the 21st century,We'd be above creating wars, to fund economic issues. As for the reason why the mass production of firearms, and not boosting our economy, its not on as grand of a scale.

Another note: When I was referring to past decisions, I was thinking of (Who was after FDR? LBJ?),who walked out of a plane, and touched each of the Vietnamese on their heads. Thats a direct insult in their culture. Also, as for the Iraq war, people here were pretty pissed, and wanted some action to be taken around 6 years ago. I was only a kid, but even I could see that. And, correct me, but his plan was fairly vague as to what It actually entitled..

Everyone should get off the computer, get a job, and save the economy by sending all your paychecks to Obama. He will then accept millions of dollars and put them towards his funding of a $39.95 KFC Fun Bucket.

I honestley think we are far from the depression. All we need is the flow of money, and to limit CEOs from abusing their power.

Oh trust me, its much more then money.
Giving money just increased our national debt, and now we are
boroughing money to pay or only 5% of the interest of our
60,000,000,000,000 (Thats enough 0's?) national debt. Also you should
look at out unemployment and consumer spending. People are begining
to save. Our GPA growth fell 8% last year.

If you owe the bank $30,000, you're fucked. If you owe the bank 3,000,000,000,000, they're fucked.

Some economists are saying that we are going to go into a depression in
a month at least.
Obama's package wont work fast enough. As soon as GM fails, we're
definatly gonig over the hill.

Its GM's damned fault for making shitty cars and bending over to unions and excessively over paying their workers.
