However, I do know an obvious generalization of the following:
Nobody's dating in my school (7th-9th graders)
They do gay face/mom jokes.
The girls go hyper for no reason, childish.
Likes childish movies like Grinch and the fucking shit.
People are not too focused, most hate studying wayy too much. (Pisses me off when they say that they have too much homework, while i have 3 times more, and I never complain)
People have extremely useless discussions like, "How was your day today?" "Great, it was awesome" "What'd you do?" "Nothing!" *Laughs at the moment while i get even more mad and start closing my eyes*
Discussions like these are all they do, and they make me want to move to another place even more.
And in lunch, all they do is a damned game of stealing cookies and chips
If you look off of that, is my dad still right, or am I right? I need your serious opinion on this to settle this out.
My daily schedule:
Wake up 6:30
Goto bus 6:50
Listen to music and stare out the window or close my eyes and arrive at 7:30.
Goto my math class, and talk to my only mature friends.
Yada yada, leaving my secondary school at 10:00.
Entering bus again to my home school at 10:00-10:30.
Again, stare out the window or close my eyes and listen to music (Others are having extremely useless discussions right now).
10:30-11:25 4th period, nothing much.
11:25-12:00 Lunch, goto library and do some of my homework, isolate from everybody else.
12:00-2:30 6th-8th period, nothing much.
After that, i go on the bus, and sit at the edge and stare out the window or close my eyes and listen to mp3.
Go home, and have the whole house to myself for 10 minutes, time to watch some "stuff" on the computer. |
What grade u in and why is it 7-9 im in grade 8

| I'm not going to be racist. As you can tell, your probably Asian from your avatar, ect. Asians are usually a lot more mature, and less forgiving. Asian parents will push to raise your grades, school becomes more a deal, then enjoying life how it is. As far as I know, the Asians at my school usually hang out together, just them. Just be open, they don't have to chance, accept.

im like in the middle, sometimes i think my friends are little gaywads but the people who are more mature think im immature x] |
Well I'm in 8th grade, and yes, the only reason why i'm emo in school is because of my peers. I developed somewhat a hatred to everybdoy except a very few people who are sometimes perverts that i like.
| zyndr0m wrote: | | So, wheres the socializing? I mean on the freetime.. |
Oh bloody hell, I socialize on the internet, this is enough socializing for me, I'm not a person who fools around all the time.
| zach610 wrote: | You have to understand that people are just naturally dumb. The average intelligence level of Americans has been dropping for MANY years now.
People are immature, childish, and the sooner you come to grips with that, the sooner you can "break off from the pack of retards", and foster a deep-seeded inner intelligence. |
Oh really? I personally had to consider that people in America were lazy, but they're also immature? America's just gonna collapse like the Western Roman Empire, as you can see, I'm learning Europe's history. Yes, I've been arrogant with myself lately and always maybe, and I personally have been making the right generalization that my peers were retards and immature.
| zurkei wrote: | | That is how it is with me and I completly agree. |
Why keep it to yourself, you could always share your problems.
I thought it was just my friend, who lives in north Carolina, and my city that had the problem.
| JamesHan1 wrote: | Looks like you just realised what it is like to be smarter than the rest.
Obviously you don't belong at your school, maybe at a selective school (idk if America has these schools, but in Australia, these are schools who have "selected" the best of the best), or the American equivalent.
If that's not possible, just ignore them or be glad that you're not one of them. Excel in your school so that you become distinctive or prominent from all the trash that is underneath you.
In my opinion, you have no social problems, its just who you are; a smart person who likes to keep to yourself.
Btw, don't believe what your dad said, for what he said is certainly not true. I mean, how the f--k would someone know if you're thinking that they are immature; what he said was just some lame parental cliché that you should ignore. |
I am not in Australia, I live in the immature world of USA. I've learned to be glad and mad at the same time that I'm not one of those idiots. You can consider me smart because:
I take 10th grade courses
I think much deeper about a situation.
Example of what an average person would say about a movie: It was great!
Example of what I would say: Even though it was quite an entertaining movie, I was always wondering how they could get such an expensive camera, etc.
And I'm also in this forum, nobody in my school is smarter than me on computers, they don't even know what fucking hexadecimal means.
This poser whore that thinks he's so good at comps, but isn't at all, is always like, "Oh, I'm gonna create viruses to hack your computer and mess up all binary codes." Then I say, "Oh bloody hell, do you even know what an IP address is?" He says, "Oh yeah! It is the address used to track your own house!" No. Just plain fucking no, you can use it to track the general location, but he didn't even know it was composed of four numbers less or equal to 255.
I guess my dad was just using another cliche.

Yes, I am Korean. My parents know I push myself to get my grades up, I have effort. It is quite an adventure for me myself to get some bloody red eyes and then feel the glory of sleeping. Sorry, in my school, Asians have adapted to the western culture of laziness and immaturitiness if that even is a word.
In conclusion, you all have agreed to me, I am too smart and mature for them. I'm guessing nobody's on my dad's side saying to adapt to the western culture, right?

Everyone at my school is retarted.
Im tired of it. A 14 year old girl or boy has the knowledge and common sense of a five year old.

Alot of people act that way... but in reality they really ARE mature and intelligent. (When the situation is called for.) They're just having fun. Stop being so serious. It's bad for mental and physical health.

I must say, this is exactly right, in school the like to goof off, and show off for there friends, Afterhours ( Home ) They do mature.
Also when they goof off, they grab the attention of people, and in my school, they easily get girls from being funny by doing this.
Let them have fun, school is bs, and yes i am one of those faggots that goof off.

Bleh where to start....
First, we must define maturity and distinguish between different types of maturity. Flipping open the nearest dictionary, one finds that maturity is defined as a "full development." Of course, dictionaries aren't written in the kind of philosophical depth that we'd like, so we must ask the questions ourselves. Full development... of what? This leads us to distinguishing between different kinds of development. In what ways, as human beings, do we develop? Or, put another way, in how many different ways do we mature? The answer 2; Physical maturity and emotionally/mentally.
So physical maturity is defined easily; go to any dictionary and type it in.
Unlike physical maturity, emotional maturity is not easily defined. It is not quantifiable. We can't use a science lab to calculate an individual's emotional maturity. Emotions are volatile and difficult to understand, and full of subjectivity.
However we can reach logical conclusions using the axioms we do have.
We know that emotional maturity is greater in adults than in children. We also know that emotional maturity refers to growth of mind. The biggest difference between a child and adult mentally, is the ability to act, and react for maximum benefit. To put it more specifically, its the capacity to anticipate, analyze, and plan for the consequences, results or circumstances, of or caused by decisions and actions in life. Yes that sentence makes sense, read it again its important.
Here's where subjectivity becomes a bitch;
How we deal with something can not be measured positively or negatively without a set of desirable outcomes. The set of desirable outcomes it what varies with each person and it why we can't quantify maturity.
General list of differences in goals;
How it will affect the future problems? Does it create or solve them.
How it will affect the present problems? Does it create or solve them.
Who does it benefit? (society, me, friends etc)
Maturity is the measure to deal with them, being mature should be relative to your goals and age, so your level of maturity is not steadily increasing; it rather it goes up and down (like a penis!) with how it agrees with your goals, which is dynamic and based on age.
Here's what the general goals are for grades 7-10.
-future: get good marks, have a certain, happy future
-present: party hard, be happy
-benefit: me, friends
If you can't deal with your problems, learn how to. Once you have a happy balance between your present problem, and your future in general, then you'll be truly mature.
ITS NOT UP TO OTHERS TO DO THIS FOR YOU, WE HAVE OUR OWN ISSUES TO LOOK AFTER.
I bet some of you shits are jumping up and down, and saying everybody has problems so everybody's immature!
No, its your ability to deal with problems. Problems are unavoidable.
tl;dr rhyme: you're being an emo cunt; go smoke a blunt (and you'll be mature).

Well here's when the people that deny me come in.
You have a point there sponge, I did realize that people were more calm inside their houses. Oh my fuck, how the hell is being hyper and retarded fun? I find it rather hard to do because of my pride , like i said before, i have arrogance. I guess you're right about the mental health, I found it entertaining to hurt people's feelings, and my mental health is not good these days, only good when I'm on the computer right now.
And Xanatos, you did not have to actually define what maturity was physically, you could have skipped to the part where, "It's the capacity to anticipate, analyze, and plan for the consequences, results or circumstances, of or caused by decisions and actions in life."
Hm... dealing with my own problems, I've been too independent lately and started doing that myself, but I must have done it a wrong way. I'm basically lost in the path of my social life. Should I do the stupid things that other people do as well, or should I just wait until everybody becomes much more mature and less hyper and then start talking my talk? I guess it is my decision, I am very lost, if i start being hyper and stupid, my grades will drop but i will have more friends for now. If I keep my isolation, my grades will keep increasing dramatically and get to a better college, but everybody in the school will hate me.
Trying to find my balance, I think doing the stuff I'm doing right now is the right choice. I socialize with my "mature" computer friends at the morning at my first accelerated school. I also am somewhat happy around adults, I know how to make them happy, and they make me happy. (Kind of freaky to some of you, but it's true)
In my second school (Normal school), I have a reputation of being a tall smart "bully", always puts other people down except my fellow pervert friends. When they go hyper, I usually react by, "What the fucking hell are you excited about?" And they go like, "Watch your mouth." "Well stop being hyper" "Well no, being happy is a good thing" "Well being idiotically happy is quite for... idiots" and yada..., I have a bad reputation there.
I talk somewhat around my pervert friends at my second school (Normal school), so I guess that's fine. My future will be great, I will socialize very well in college as long as they hold conversations that i can relate well to, which would not be useless conversations, which is the only conversations that are in my school.
As long as i protect myself from the bad influences and enhance the good influences, I think i make right choices.
Bad influences are:
Retarded hyper people who hold useless discussions
Everybody in my normal school
Good influences are:
My "mature" friends, sometimes includes perverts
Homework and excessive studying
And I do not look emo, I just have a mind of one, I sort of act like one, and I will not smoke anything as that is a very bad choice most teens make.
I am still a nice person, it's just that hyperness and retardedness pisses me off to hell.

Growing up too fast is retarded. Lay back and let yourself go. Modern society puts too much on kids.
