Just call random people from the contacts list until you find someone who speaks english.
Then ask that person if he/she knows the person who lost the phone.
(Yeah u cant read chinese, but try MESSING AROUND WITH IT UNTIL YOU FIND A LIST!)

some one might have stolen it, and just got scared, threw it, trying to hide the evidence. or he doesn't read chinese.

But how would you feel if you lost something that expensive?
Its note even about being able to read Chinese. You could turn it in to the lost and found or the police. (I'll be yours in 60 days anyway if nobody claims it.)
