Zyndr0m; Well, not always.. Superheroes only need enemies in comics, etc. This is because it gives some conflict in the stories. Would you want to see batman beating up just robbers 24/7? No, hence Joker.

However, in real life a Superhero wouldn't find much in the way of 'Enemies' because he'd most likely end up the only hero.

It's a sad realization, but a Superhero would often be bored, unless he's in Iraq. ( Even then, in Iraq conflict isn't a 24/7 promise. The battles there are getting few and bloody. Maybe Terrorists are getting bored with us? )

I dunno but, through my perspective, probably some rich bitch will get angry for what this "superhero" is doing, and will eventually try to stop him at all cost...

Well, a rich lady no. A religious lady? Definitely.

If there were to be some sort of Supervillain it'd be either someone who's jealous of the Hero's renown or a religious fanatic who feels that the hero is 'ungodly' or thinks they're trying to 'Play God'..

Oh, and the girl in your Avi... Too adorable.

the only way to maintain a super hero is hook him up to a kill button.

Actually the great quantity of fictional heroes is more so an indicator of the human desire for something larger than themselves to act as a guardian. -The same basic theory behind most religions.

I'm not sure we need a "superman." I think that humanity needs to discover their own potential as mortals to do what is right, rather than relying on someone else to fix mistakes.

No!
Us humans..., when we are given something we want, we always want something else while thinking that given something we want is normal. Then when a villain comes, then we keep thinking negatively, it's the nature of humans.

And with the financial crisis, i'm sure you all know that the United States is extremely similar to the Roman Empire in many ways, it's about to fall the same way the Western part of Roman Empire did:
Military (Maybe not this part for US)
Government (Definitely.)
Economy (Inflation, oh yeah.)
Society (People are wayyyy too lazy, and there are much environmental issues caused by US)

The current situation isn't exactly the same as that of ancient Rome.
It's really an oversimplification of the matter.
