yea thats what my main intention was but then i have a crappy comp and i cant decide whether rockband with my friends or a new comp for me o-o

Get the desktop.
XBox w/o live isnt worth it.
Plus, if you have a wii, rockband is more versatile on that anyway - less wires = less mess. Plus Wii's rock.. hard.
