Personally, I'm not. Microsoft discontinuing XP won't stop me from using the most supported OS.

Windows XP is the only OS for me, I've used it since I got my first computer. Wow, that sounds corny...

Fuck Vista, I always say. I never liked it and it just kept slowing me down. The reason why it makes your games run slower is because it tries to render DX9 graphics as DX10. The errors it gets eventually slows it down, but not by much. It's not significant enough to make you rip your hair out, but it is a downside and which is why I got out of Vista. I actually get a better framerate EMULATING my games than with Vista on the same settings.

Why is everyone so afraid of a little change? Stop clamping onto the old stuff and modernize yourself, gawd. Personally, I thought Windows 98 was the shit. But I didn't hold onto 98 for much longer after XP was released.
This message is mostly directed at people who just "follow the flow", and think Vista sucks just because other people think so too. Give yourself a break and try out the stuff before you base your opinion on other people's opinion. I mean, seriously, Vista isn't that bad. Sure it has some bugs (easily to get around by yourself btw), but it's coming damn close to kicking XP's ass.

So true..
think about it, when XP came out, it was pratically like windows vista, everyone wanted to stick to windows 2000
now look is that happening? I rarely know anyone who has Windows 2000
It will just take some time

Your assumptions amuse me. I'm not afraid of change. In fact, I liked Vista before it started fucking up my computer. I moved onto Linux and Ubuntu, which certainly is NOT old and I haven't used it previously before I got Vista.
