Cheat Engine

Well I have Warcraft 3 and the expansion...so my version is 1.2e, and it crashes CE even with kernel stealth mode enabled. Obviously, I tried reinstalling CE first, but that didn't work either. Maybe the expansion has some protection.

Im getting the expansion.
I will see if it crashes on me too.
That way we can rule out something being wrong with your install kjmarket.

Well, I just found a way around the crash. Instead of selecting the process war3 after I load up the game, I open up cheat engine, click create process,a nd select warcraft3.exe, and after the game loads up, I simply target war3.exe and it deattaches from the previous process and all works fine.

for me cheating on newset version of warcraft 3 TFT works fine..
but i still can't find pointers

Well, after figuring out a way past the stupid crash last night I went to bed and havent had time yet to mess with this game, but thanks for th einput, garfield. Anyway, whats the problem with this game? Is it finding the addresses or pointers? You said the values are 4-byte multiplied by 10? If you can find the address you should be able to find some pointers. Don't rely on the pointer scan too much.

It doesnt crash on me, has to be something on your end.

Also we went way off topic with this whole thread.

Yeah, but sometimes the built in cheat codes kind of suck. Take Warcraft 3 for example. One cheat makes all your units and buildings invincible, and all units one hit kill everything. I'd rather hack it myself so that everything is invincible and leave it so I dont one hit kill everything.
