Exactly, you're using Dial-Up internet.

You need cable or DSL. Your computer has nothing to do with your internet speed.

You don't overclock through programs, I hope you've been reading the posts.

You overclock in bios by Raising the FSB.

It may be easier but it may harm your computer. It's better to do it the "Harder" way than the easier way in this case. It's really easy.

Well i just have some questions

I know overclocking speeds up your computer and makes it run faster...

So is there any program for it ? Or is it a chipset you put in your Tower

Can i do it? with my AMD 3500+, 2.21Ghz?
Or with a Intel Pentuim 4?

you can overclock it, but not as extreme as with a pentium 4, world record is on a p4 from 3,2ghz to 5,2ghz. if you're looking for some software to do it Systool is pretty good.

however, watch out with overclocking, faster parts produce more heat, so i would recommend buying new fans to cool it, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, if your processor turns liquid (melting cpu not good) it's not my fault.

World record for a P4 is 8.2GHz

This is true. More specifically, increase in clock frequency causes a linear increase in heat output and power consumption, voltage increase causes an exponential increase.

C2D's can overclock like crazy with a good board, my 1.6GHz C2D is running at 4.35(though don't expect anything that extreme, I just got an exceptional chip, a good board, and good cooling.)

If you don't know what you're doing, I'd advise you to read a few guides on it before you attempt anything.

Also, if you have an OEM or a cheapo board(like in a Dell or any manufactured PC), you won't be overclocking. A good motherboard is the most important part in an OC.

A good cooling system is a must-have before you start overclocking Wink

you shouldnt overclock if you are ghetto
increasing virtual memory is a tiny bit like overclocking Razz

I know what ghetto means, but being ghetto doesn't mean you shouldn't overclock, it is completely irrelevant.

I was talking to bannedjsin, and I agree with you. If you're "Ghetto" you shouldn't even have a computer none the less overclock it so theres a difference.
