Visual basic is good if you wanna sacrifice memory management and size. It helps you program with Windows APIs without having to memorize all the parameters and stuff. Microsoft made Visual Basic easy for a reason. It's to give the beginning programmers something easy to learn.

Visual Basic is very easy and fun to learn. But it is not very powerfull. That is why I didn't pick it.

I picked C++ because it is very powerful and that is the programming language I'm learning right now.

English is the best language to learn,

oh ok then,
any of the C languages to start, C/C++ can be learnt free, then you can get onto assembley as a second language to learn as its easier to understand with C behind you,

pascal is what delphi language is based on and what cheat engine is written in so no harm in looking at that as well,
its been around for a while now so learning a bit of delphi programming wouldnt hurt a bit,

but most of all find one you feel comfortable with, one which is powerful enough and just clicks with you

I will recommend the opposite, learn assembly first, then more of the C language features will become immediately clear (bit manipulation etc)

it's just that a lot of assembley tutorials want you to know a higher language first so they dont have to explain declarations loops structures ect,

but whichever way you do it C and assembley compliment each other for understanding,
but point taken

i am still a firm believer that asm is for the machine to read only. although, it is fun to learn how the machine interprets things.

which makes total sense because humans didn't design the machines

touche. but, if there is a much easier and simpler way for humans to understand something, why shouldn't it be used?

Because it isn't easier and simpler. Coding is easy when you can be sure you understand the machine and the machine understands you.
