Well, my school has this new website blocking program that replaced Websense. It counts how many times people go to a certain site, and if they go to it enough times, it blocks that site.

It really pissed me off when we had to go to a few websites to order parts for our FIRST robotics club, and we couldn't.

I was wondering if there was a way to unblock those sites.Maybe a proxy...I don't think it will work.

O and they can unblock sites like Google, or other sites they feel need to be unblocked.

what about youtube is that blocked?? cuz everyone goes there.... but it can be also educational in a lot of ways....

All schools block Youtube because its considered as "streaming."

If too many people go to a site it blocks it? That makes no sense. If everybody is pooling from one online source for a Project, it would block it.

Also, try googling ultrasurf, and download u.exe into your flashdrive and run that, that's what I use.

Use the hidden windows calculator browser, or the windows media player one. Open calculator then go to Help>Help topics> then click the Top-left corner, click Jump to page> and then type the webite you go to. You NEED the HTTP: and the three W's or you will fail.

Yeah sites like Hidemyass are decent for that type of thing. Just go to google and search for proxy/anonymous browsing and a ton of stuff will come up. Do the searches at home so they don't catch on. And keep a list of ones you've tried since it seems your school will block any that are used too often. It's what we used to do when our school blocked all our gaming websites.
