So I've decided to have a new look, but since I almost never do my hair, I'm looking for some help...

I've practised a bit today and it's so hard - my hair always looks so dull after I use spray or mousse.

Info

My hair's long in the front, short at the back and sides, and I have brown/golden streaks (bleached).

My hair is naturally wavy, but curly if I don't wash in 2 or more days.

In the dressing cabinet I've got some mousse (it's strength rating is 3), some wax and hairspray (strength rating is 5).

I know that you can't suggest a perfect style since you don't know what I look like, but if there is a style that you would like to suggest, what would it be, and how would I go about replicating it? (Also, I only have around 10 minutes in the mornings to do it, so nothing complex please)

Pics would be nice Smile

You'll have to post a picture, it's hard to imagine.

Looks fine to me to be honest.

Ever thought about growing your hair. If your hair is wavy then try out straighteners (i have wavy/curly hair).

Grow it out and look for a hairstyle you like and go to a salon?

Oh a compliment. Haven't had one in ages Smile

Well, mummy says that straightening hair somehow damages your scalp/hair, so I guess I'll just do it behind her back.

I grew my hair long into a mullet a while back and people reckoned I looked like a terrorist (my skin was tanned since it was summer)... lul

But what I want to do is to style my own hair (which I don't know how to), since I'll be going to school everyday, and going to a salon to do my hair everyday would wither my wallet.

Anyways, thanks.

James: grow your hair longer so you have some options.

Go to a salon and get your hair cut into a decent haircut (look around in magazines etc for one you like)

From there just ask the person who did it how you could style it.

Buy the necessary stuff and do it until it grows out.

Repeat

Shave it all off and wait for the curls, repeat.

Grow it a bit longer, use straigthener and lots of Gel Wax (atleast thats what its called here, a combination of wax and hair gel). Thats what I do. I think it'll look cool, especially with dark hair like yours. And hair straighteners usually don't damage your hair unless you buy the really cheap ones. Take a look at this, tells you which temperature to use for the best results:

- Drying hair: 80 degrees
- Completely hair: 100 degrees
- Partly damaged hair: 120 degrees
- Slightly damaged hair: 140 degrees
- Ordinary curly hair: 160 degrees
- Curly hair: 180 degrees
- Very thick curly hair: 200 degrees

my mom is a hairdresser, so she got me this special shampoo and gel(only available at salons) and i just apply the gel after i shampoo'd it. and make a fauxhawk. or when its winter(like now) i just save to long hair and move the bangs aside, looks sexy with a cap.

but I wouldn't dream of having hair as long as yours, never mind growing it longer...

Medium long hair, long in the front. Curly on the sides and back, and my hairs layered.
