What happened to me today was supposed to be good news, but it isn't good news anymore.
There was a big essay competition, and I won second place. $100 in cold, hard cash. Considering I don't have an allowance, this is something of a dream come true.
One problem.
One BIG problem.
I receive the prize at a banquet.
Where you eat real food.
I am a very (x30) picky eater.
I don't eat any meat besides pork, chicken, or beef-flavored Raman noodle soup.
I don't eat fruits.
I don't eat vegetables.
My mother was saying how I can't just not eat the stuff and sit there.

If you are going to post, please give me a (good) suggestion.
Please don't comment on my eating habits.

Wow your in a pretty big mess. This should only be used as a last resort if you can't think of anything. Take the cash, tell them you are very busy and run with the money Cool

I'm doomed further. Another thing, I have to actually STAY for the banquet because I'm getting my photo taken for a newspaper afterward.

You can say you are participating in an event like the 30 hour famine, and don't eat anything. Course the problem would be if they actually checked to see if you were part of an event like that. If they might, you could always start an event and get people to sign up for it on that date.

Try and start conversation with people, smile and like laugh. Then just walk around and greet people you don't have to eat at all, be like you're fasting or something or if you don't believe in it, just say a tiny bit. Cause it'll really be no manner to just take the money and sit there and do nothing. Congratulation on winning the prize. Wink
