A few days ago I posted that I had my golden E2140 working at 4.35GHz and there were a few disbelievers. Well, I got better cooling and this was the result.

Still playing around with it trying to find what's stable and then I have to prime it, but in the meantime enjoy:

I've always gotten shit ones in the past that don't even get an average OC, looks like I got lucky for a change Razz

This board is amazing, for $80 on Newegg it's a steal. Only reason it's so cheap is because the boards had quite a few issues in the past, but they were fixed with a new revision of the board.

Yep, extremely noisy air cooling Sad

2x92mm on the cpu heatsink, 1x120mm and 2x92mm in the back, 3x92mm and 1x120mm in the front, all sunon branded fans pulled from some IBM fileservers.

This isn't a 24/7 overclock of course, I want a quiet system, just seeing how far I could take it.

It can run at 3.2 on stock volts so that's probably where it'll stay.

CPU: 1.425v
NB +.125v (don't remember what it is stock)
RAM: 2.1v

Nothing too extreme.

EDIT:

If I did the math correctly, my little 65w(stock) chip pulls around 255w overclocked to 4.68 Razz

Installed windows but not prime stable, cooling isn't good enough.

4hr prime stable at 4.35GHz though, I think I could get a little more out of it stable, but now I'm messing with my friend's E4400 which has a higher multi.

Well still impressive, my Q6600 doesn't want to be stable after 3.6GHz (I have a shitty motherboard >__> )

Code:
Jon "elmor" Sandström decided to have another crack at the record books, and was recently gratified. Using a fully modded ASUS P5W64 WS Pro, a Core 2 Extreme X6800, 2GB of Mushkin XP2-8500 (running on a 1:1 ratio at 3-3-3-5), an S3 Trio64+ PCI graphics card, a Silverstone Zeus 850W power supply, and of course, several liters of liquid nitrogen, Elmor set a new Core 2 Duo speed record. His Core 2 Extreme X6800 reached speeds of 5854 MHz, as proven by his CPU-Z Validation. Rumor has it that Elmor still has 30 liters of LN2, and is going to try beating the SuperPi record.
