Where did you learn your C++? Ive used many online guides,books, and other tutorials on learning C++ and all just end up failing. Confused

I am fairly well with computers but am i just not understanding this? If you have something that worked good for you, mind posting it? Very Happy

I'd like something that will actually explain commands(what it does, what its stands for,ect.) and not just tell that you right this word on that line.

i learned from source code and msdn

reading commented source code / tutorials is a great thing

i never did a cplusplus.com type of tut though

well find out something you want to do, then read up on it

maybe its creating a simple window

then adding stuff.

then eventually maybe directx9 (Thats where i am)

read up on articles and examine source code... i learn differently than most people so this works for me

MSDN is a great site for reference. Huge database of examples, explanations, and complete descriptions of API. For C++ I used cplusplus.com to grasp the basics, then knew most of the rest from previous languages.

Sources from people that write tutorials are great things to learn from too, even more so when they are commented to tell you whats going on.

Other then that, google is a programmers best friend. Very Happy

when i read source code i see how things fit together and usually ill remember that, maybe its just me
