Anyone know where i could get a programme to downgrade my psp from 2.6 to 1.5 and how to enable it to be able to play pirated Games

you can get a "2.60 to 1.5 Downgrader" homebrew kit, if you search the net, but you will need the first release rom of GTA.

There was a bug in the game which allowed you to load homebrew programs thru its savegame data.

Which means you load the downgrader thru the savedata bug, and it downgrades your psp.

Im sure theres another way in which you dont need GTA, but i havent looked.

Tsk Tsk... there is a downgrader for 2.6 to 1.5... If I remember correctly, it works using a tiff buffer overrun exploit.

I think that 3.03 is the highest you can downgrade from currently.

i got the very original psp =D the 1.5 firmware so i didnt need to downgrade =O lucky me. anyways i love my psp came with 2 gb memory stick and i have 150 games on my external hard drive. anyways just do a quick google search for 3.5 firware downgrade to 1.5 or whatever.

There is a new exploit that will work with all psp firmwares, and let you downgrade from anything to 1.5. A downgrader has not been created yet, but it is on it's way.

i saw that, its a hole in that puzzle game. the new exploit is being called the illuminati expoit. so far the only thing they have is a "hello world" demo.

i think you might be able to wipe your psp to its original state(if you brought it a while ago this might work i got mine the first day it came out) my freind did this for me, so i dont know how

You cannot "wipe" it to a different version. it formats the nand flash memory then writes the new firmware upgrade to it, so there is no trace of the old firmware. You can wipe your settings, but you cannot "wipe" the firmware to an older version.

Lumings (sp?) is the game which the new exploit requires.
