|
|
Description:
I tried to lock memory values in applications using Cheat Engine on multiple Android emulators, including BlueStacks, Nox, MEmu, and LDPlayer, but none of them worked. In some cases, I encountered forced restarts and even a blue screen (BSOD).
Tested versions:
Cheat Engine: 7.4 and latest version
Steps to reproduce:
Open an Android emulator.
Attach Cheat Engine to the emulator process.
Scan for a memory value and try to lock it.
Observe the results: in some cases, the emulator crashes, force restarts, or leads to a BSOD.
Expected behavior:
Memory values should be successfully locked without causing system instability.
Actual behavior:
Cheat Engine fails to lock values.
Emulator crashes or force restarts.
In some cases, Windows encounters a blue screen (BSOD).
Additional information:
If needed, I can provide logs or more details regarding the errors.
Tried Configurations:
I enabled and disabled the following options, but the issue persisted:
✅ Use the following CE Kernel routines instead of the original Windows version
✅ Query memory region routines
✅ Read/Write Process Memory (will cause slower scans)
✅ Open Process
✅ Enable use of the Process Watcher
✅ MEM_MAPPED: Memory that is mapped into the view of a section. (E.g:File mapping, emulator memory, slow)
✅ Unload kernel module
Additional Information:
I tested on both Windows 10 and Windows 11, and the issue occurred on all systems. I also tried using LDPlayer, but the problem persisted.
Security & Virtualization Settings Disabled:
To ensure that Windows security features were not interfering with Cheat Engine, I disabled the following options:
Memory Integrity (Prevents malicious code injection into high-security processes)
Local Security Authority Protection (Blocks unauthorized drivers and plugins from loading into the Local Security Authority)
Microsoft Vulnerable Driver Blocklist (Prevents execution of drivers with known security vulnerabilities)
Windows Virtualization (Disabled from Windows settings and BIOS)
Antivirus & Defender (Completely disabled during testing)
