open regedit and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Cheat Engine
create or change the dword key named:
Code:

Disable DarkMode Support

and set the value to 1

also create or change the dword key named:
Code:

Get process icons

and set the value to 0

I changed the regedit stuff and after I do the cheat engine 64 bit just doesn't start till I delete it, also that seem to affect 32 bit version since it became white.

Hello, I have this exact issue- only problem is... the solution for Rachel does not work for me. Any suggestions?

I hade the same effect and I could pinpoint it to the "ASLR with high Entropy"-windows-setting which in my case was set to enabled (default) an needed to be set to disabled.
(You can find it under Windows-Security > App- and Browesercontrol > Exploit-Protection > ASLR with high Entropy)

I know this is necroing this thread. Just wanted to add that this solution worked for me. I could not click on anything in CE and it would crash.
