Since, my OS upgraded to Windows 10, when using CE 7.4 Lua Table to write scripts, I often get this message "syntax error near <\194>", even I don;t see any typo. What is this?. Is it CE 7.4 bug?

Just a few ideas;

1) instead of assigning "local" link them to a table. (local index = 0 or Ltable = {} Ltable.index = 0 etc)
2) Specifically, instead of getting the timers from the built-in table "UDF1.CETimer", you create it.
3) If you have fixed a bug before and assigned that bug to a control you defined as "local", this built-in becomes a "local Control" in progress. Even if you delete it, CE detects the error locally and reads it.
Copy your code and close and reopen CE and paste it in the new window and continue.

If you're not going to reuse sometimes failing controls that are set to "local" and you're too lazy to start CE again, make sure the control you've deleted is dead. (controlname = nil or controlname.Destroy() etc.)

It was just a few ideas that were encountered.

Check your keyboard config. Perhaps it added an international keyboard config. Which causes annoyances like doublequote open would wait for a 2nd char and then insert a non-renderable char
