I am trying to find the address to change the values, example: the gold in eternal sonata. I put in the starting value, all value types, no fast scan, do first scan and then repeat once or twice for new values. However I either get address that have values increasing/decreasing, addresses that look like it could be right but then when changing the value they also increase/decrease or I end up with no addresses at all.

Changed and unchanged will reveal the value the hard way. If you can read assembly, you can trace the most promising values and see if any of those reveal the source.

Yeah I didn't understand any of that. Usually I'm pretty good at figuring out stuff to do with emulation but this has got me stumped

Search All value types for something other than the exact value. Either using changed (the value has changed since the last search) or unchanged (the value has not changed since the last search). You can also use a range. For example, if your value is 47, you can search 46-48 which helps with float and doubles sometimes.
