I am familiar with AOB injection but not much else with assembly. I have gotten AOB injections to work on the fields I want, but not pointers-- it seems pointers won't work in this situation as I've gone 4+ levels in only to have hundreds of addresses to sift through. As far as hard-coding specific values the AOB scripts work fine, but I'd like to mess around with Lua doing some stuff that relies on what the values are at any given time. Is it possible to extract the targeted value of an AOB injection to use in a Lua script? e.g. if I had an AOB injection script for HP, read the HP value in a Lua script.
Another question I have is if it's possible to have a "dummy record," i.e., a field that isn't really attached to the process that I can just store values in to be read by my Lua scripts. This would make changing things faster than going into and editing scripts, and I could also use it to sort of emulate pointers if I can read from AOB injection as I hope.

Search for "injection copy" to find more information.

Most people would use allocated memory in the target process to store values and register a symbol to access that memory (see the injection copy technique). _________________
I don't know where I'm going, but I'll figure it out when I get there.
