|
Hello everyone, I am wondering if someone could tell me about how I may be able to get this opcodes offset for pointer scanning? I have tried using 0C and just 0 but the scan results both come up blank?
Also just scanning without an offset gets me so far then suddenly the pointer scan list will have an increase after the 3rd or 4th scan. I have used them on other games before and have encountered a failed pointer but hen rebooting it works. Would like to avoid that if I can get an offset!

technically you need to look for the base value of RCX (2A620C02120 in this case), not the offset, because it will always be +0xC

Were you able to get a rough idea of that address from the very top and subtracting the 0xC offset

Select the instruction in the window then click More Information. Look what the value of RCX is.

EDIT:
Thank you everyone who has contributed to this post. I have managed to find a better way to pointer scan. The method I was using was sloppy and not very dependent. Again thank you all for the help!
