Honestly kinda confused and need help. my in game number is showing as
-2.147484E+09 and I am at a complete loss as to how to track this down, its for sure a 4 byte or float when the original number was found but I need to bring it back down to a reasonable number such as 100,000. My game crashed and saved the unknown number after xxxx amount of income difference happened. The original number it was changed to was 9,999,999,999.

any suggestions on how to get this number and change it? thanks!

ffff... is -1 in two's complement, it's probably something like 8000...

This is why you should make backups of your save file before you start screwing around with the game.

If you can still add to that value, searching by increased value should work.

Judging by the visible part of the number, I will assume that this number is 0x80000000 for located immediately following the maximum possible DWORD - 0x7FFFFFFF.
The exact decimal value for it is -2 147 483 648. But it is extremely difficult to find such a number in memory. Because there will be a lot of false answers.
