I don't know the right terms to search for, so I can't find how to do this:
I play a game, I find addresses for values and edit them. I close Cheat Engine and I save those addresses to a CT file.
The next time I play the game, I open Cheat Engine and select the process and it asks me if I want to load the CT file.
When the CT file loads, it is not bound to the same addresses, so the values it references are incorrect.
* How do I make it so when I open the CT file, it adjusts the addresses to the new address for the game? *
I don't seem to see how to do this in the tutorials in a way that is clear.
Thank you!

It has to do with random access memory (RAM). So the process is loaded in a different address, thus all it's addresses change too. In older games you could just use process based addresses (static addresses). But with newer games you tend to need to use pointers with a static address or code injection. The CE tutorial in the help menu goes over the basics like this.

| The tutorial doesn't explicitly go into steps on how to create a "durable" CT file that can be used whenever loading the game anew.

It goes over making pointers, which is what you need.
