Hey

everytime i try to download cheat engine 7.2 on here, my AVG picks it up as a Suspicious file and blocks from being installed

so i think there is a virus on 7.2 of cheat engine then

It's safe. The suspicious file is the aftual CE installer

but if youndon't trust it you can always jlin the ce patreon and get a certified clean version from there (your AV will still complain)

my friend tells me its not safe at all to turn off your anti-virus program to install something like cheat engine or put it on the safe list at all

Using cheat engine isn't safe either. You could make it run any piece of code as administrator. Including code that deletes all files on your network

so yeah. CE is not for people who care about security

is there i can get the clean install file of cheat engine please

because i have been using cheat engine for years until now when my AVG now thinks its a virus

i love cheat engine alot, but i would like to be safe than sorry with my i9 machine

read ByTransient 's answer. Download the .rar file and extract that
if you AV complains about that (very likely) then you have to ask AVG to stop scaring you as it's an AVG problem and not a problem here

or as i said earlier, join the ce patreon and you can download a 'clean' version from there

AVG seems to be ok with it (although this is just the installer and AVG can't check the files it would extract so do take that into account)
